Back in 2006, Roxann was casting about for a purpose in life. While watching The New Medicine on PBS, she found one. Roxann was particularly impressed by the therapist who was helping a patient reduce his pain through guided meditation. She exclaimed, “That is what I want to do!” Roxann eventually found her way to Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the nation‘s first accredited college of hypnotherapy, where she learned the skills needed to fulfill her new purpose. Roxann enjoys helping people deal with the emotional and spiritual side of illness with hypnosis and guided imagery.
Two of Roxann’s three children were diagnosed with leukemia. One is now officially a survivor, and the other has just completed treatment. The experience of caring for her children as they recover has given Roxann an intimate understanding of many of the issues cancer patients face.
Roxann believes that our thoughts create our reality. If we don’t like the reality we are in, we can change our thoughts and create a new reality. The key is to get the conscious and subconscious mind working together. That is where hypnotherapy comes in.
